:Descriptions
To investigate the spectra of H۲ and measuring it’s wavelength and determining the Rydberg Constant.In this experiment, the emission spectrum is excited using a balmer lamp filled with water vapor, in which an electric discharge splits the water molecules in to an excited hydrogen atom and a hydroxyl group. The wavelengths of the lines Ha , Hb and Hg are determined using a high-resolution grating. In the first diffraction order of the grating, we can fined the following relationship between the wavelength l and the angle of observation q: l =d. sin q ; d: grating constant. The measured values are compared with the values calculated according to the balmer formula
